Ti' Acadie
(TEE Ah-kah-DEE) means "a little Acadia". We sing and play
traditional music from French and Maritime Canada, French Louisiana, the
southern Appalachians, and New England. We play for traditional New
England style country dances or "contradances". Based in mid-coast and
western Maine, we are: Pam Weeks on fiddle, mountain dulcimer, and other
strings; Bill Olson on guitar, bass and calling; Jim Joseph on button accordion,
banjo, mandolin and percussion. We all sing!
If you are thinking of having you wedding or special event in Maine, Ti’ Acadie would love to play for you. We can play for the wedding ceremony, play background music during dinner and then get everyone up dancing afterwards. Our P.A. system is available for your group to use and Bill can even “M.C.” the evening!
